Jahangir Tarin, Aleem Khan criticize Imran Khan at IPP’s first power show

Jahanian: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party Chairman Jahangir Khan Tarin and President Aleem Khan criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan during their first power show in Jahanian, district Khanewal.

“We worked hard for ten years to make Pakistan a new Pakistan but our struggle could not bear fruit,” said Jahangir Khan Tareen while addressing the first power show as the party chairman.

Jahangir Khan Tarin, the IPP chairman, emphasized that the party's approach was based on practical solutions rather than aggressive politics or rhetoric. He criticized Imran Khan's leadership for sidelining the old PTI members when he assumed the role of prime minister.

“We were sidelined when he [Imran Khan] became the prime minister,” said Tarin.

He said, "We believe in love, and we do not view opposition parties as enemies; they are fellow Pakistanis," Tarin added, promoting a message of unity and inclusivity.

Jahanian witnessed a momentous occasion as leaders of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) gathered to announce the party's manifesto during their inaugural power show. The event was marked by heartfelt promises aimed at uplifting the lives of the underprivileged, particularly the poor and farmers.

IPP President Aleem Khan took the stage to reveal the party's manifesto and its key features. He didn't mince words when he criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan for unfulfilled promises, specifically highlighting the unfulfilled commitment to construct 5 million houses for the people, a pledge that had yet to yield a single home in Jahanian. Khan also pointed out the role of Usman Buzdar as a mere figurehead in Punjab, suggesting that he had been used as a frontman.

"Buzdar was merely a passenger who received funds and passed them on," Aleem Khan remarked during his speech at the IPP's first power show in Jahanian.

Khan went on to outline some of the IPP's key pledges, including the provision of subsidized petrol to the economically disadvantaged, a minimum wage of Rs50,000 for laborers, and free electricity for farmers owning a minimum of 12 acres of land. The IPP president also promised relief for every union council and the installation of filtration plants throughout the region.

The IPP's manifesto includes providing free loans to young individuals and offering free training to empower women. Furthermore, Aleem Khan announced plans to allocate three-marla land to homeless citizens and develop flats and apartments in slum areas for the less fortunate.

Aleem Khan expressed confidence in the IPP's ability to lead the country out of crises under his leadership. He adopted a style and narrative reminiscent of the PTI, labeling his political rivals as thieves and dacoits, echoing a familiar narrative from the 2018 general elections.

Addressing the audience, he asked if they would vote for these "thieves" and urged them to close their doors to such individuals in the upcoming elections. He also criticized the PML-N, which had governed Punjab seven times in the past, and suggested that they were returning once again, seeking votes to regain power.
