Petroleum prices likely to go up
Islamabad: The government is likely to increase prices of petroleum products by over Rs. 3.25.
According to details, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has forwarded a summary to the Petroleum Division seeking revision of rates.
The regulatory authority has recommended a Rs1.90 per liter hike in price of petrol while a Rs3.25 increase in that of diesel.
In another suggestion, prices can be maintained by lowering the petroleum levy, another suggestion
The new prices are expected to be announced today following approval by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
