In Indonesia, at least seven people drowned after an overloaded boat capsized because of tourists attempting a selfie in a reservoir on Java Island.

As per details, there were total 20 passengers on boat who suddenly moved to the one side of the vessel to take a group selfie on Saturday in the Boyolali regency.
An official told the reporters that the cause of the accident was overcapacity.
He further added, "The 20 people took a selfie on the right side then the boat lost balance and flipped."
Rescue teams and police reached the spot after getting information to carry out rescue operation. However, 11 people were rescued while seven were found dead.
Moreover, authorities said they will look into the incident to determine, whether there was negligence by those managing the boat rides at the reservoir.
Furthermore, boat accidents are common in Indonesia, a Southeast Asian archipelago of around 17,000 islands, due to lax safety standards.
Earlier in April, rescuers rushed to find 17 fishermen after two boats collided in West Java. Reportedly, three were found dead and 13 were still missing when the search ended.
In 2020, ten people went missing after a boat carrying 20 migrant workers to Malaysia capsized off the coast of Sumatra island.
