Asad Qaiser shifted to Mardan Jail on 14-day judicial remand
The police told the court that the former speaker of the National Assembly is accused of being involved in the May 9 incidents.
Mardan: Former Speaker National Assembly and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser has been sent to Mardan Jail on 14-day judicial remand in the case of May 09 charges on Friday.
According to the details, yesterday PTI leader Asad Qaiser was arrested outside Swabi Jail and was produced in the court of Mardan Sessions Judge Muhammad Zaib today.
Before appearing before the court, the former speaker of the National Assembly was brought to District headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medical examination, where he was examined in the emergency unit, and then Asad was sent to the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Mardan.
The police told the court that the former speaker of the National Assembly is accused of being involved in the May 9 incidents, which has to be investigated.
Judge Mohammad Zaib sent Asad Qaiser to Mardan jail on 14-day judicial remand and will be produced in court after 14 days.
Anti-corruption court judge Babar Ali Khan had granted bail and release of Asad Qaiser and was ordered them to deposit Rs80,000. However, immediately after his release, he was arrested outside the jail and the police took him to Charsadda.
