Pakistan Army sentences two retired officers
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two retired officers were sentenced by the Field General Court Martial.
Rawalpindi: Pakistan Army sentenced two retired officers Adil Farooq Raja and Haider Raza Mehdi.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two retired officers were sentenced by a Field General Court Martial. Both retired officers were made a Field General Court Martial under the Pakistan Army Act.
The ISPR stated the two retired officers were convicted of inciting military personnel to mutiny.
According to ISPR, Major Retd Adil Farooq Raja was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment with hard labor while Captain Retd Haider Raza Mehdi was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.
The ranks of both the retired officers have been forfeited from November 21, 2023 as punishment, added ISPR.
It is pertinent to note that both the retired officers of the Pakistan Army who were convicted used very offensive language against the Pakistan Army and senior officers in their social media statements and Vlogs.
