ECP member Karamullah said Section 215 of Election Act is clear, forget about re-election.

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday rejected the appeal of Akbar S. Babar to re-conduct the intra-party elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to the details, a five-member commission under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja heard the petitions against the PTI intra-party election in the ECP. 14 petitioners against the intra-party appeared before the Election Commission.
Petitioner Akbar S. Babar's lawyer Ali Hassan argued that the Election Commission is formed two days before the elections, no voter list is formed and elections are held two days later.
Member Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inquired what is stated in Article-5 of PTI constitution. Lawyer Akbar S. Babar said that means to conduct the election in a closed room. Member KP asked him to be serious.
Akbar S. Babar requested the suspension of the newly elected members of PTI.
Lawyer Akbar S. Babar stated that when they went to the central secretariat, no one cooperated there. They have video evidence that they went to collect the nomination papers, no one knew anything. Neither they got the nomination papers, nor was scrutiny nor the final list found.
Election Commission rejects Akbar S. Babar's appeal to re-hold PTI intra-party elections. ECP member Karamullah said Section 215 of Election Act is clear, forget re-election.
It may be recalled that the founding leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Akbar S. Babar, had formally filed a petition against the party's intra-party elections in the Election Commission of Pakistan.
