Beauty injections: Rapid crackdown ordered against fraudsters
Dr. Jamal Nasir further said that unregistered beauty creams, vaccines, and medicines have been banned.
Lahore: Punjab Caretaker Minister for Primary Health Dr. Jamal Nasir ordered a swift crackdown against unauthorized people performing beauty injections.
Addressing the conference of the Secretaries of District Drugs Quality Control Boards of Punjab, Caretaker Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir said that no exception should be made to those who inflict diseases in the name of beauty.
The legal status of all beauty salons in Punjab should be checked and health care SOPs should be made for beauty parlors in consultation with the commission, he added.
Dr. Jamal Nasir further said that unregistered beauty creams, vaccines, and medicines have been banned. Only drug regulatory authority approved beauty creams, medicines and injections should be used.
He continued to say that substandard beauty creams are causing complex diseases and even cancer while only qualified skin specialists and surgeons can perform beauty injections.
