Chaudhry Nisar expresses his commitment to securing a victory for the people, citing his successful service to the constituency since his first electoral triumph in 1985.

Rawalpindi: Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar said that his electoral aspirations are solely dedicated to the people of Sawan, not any political party.
Chaudhry Nisar expressed his commitment to securing a victory for the people, citing his successful service to the constituency since his first electoral triumph in 1985.
He gave these remarks while addressing a really on Saturday.
“In this critical situation, Pakistan needs a miracle. I am determined to play a role in bringing about this miracle once I reach the assembly,” said the former interior minister.
Emphasizing character over votes, Nisar highlighted his track record of numerous development projects during his tenure, contrasting it with the limited achievements of his opponents. Anticipating a 'historical victory' in the upcoming February 8, 2024, general elections, he underscored his clean record, pledging no disappointment to his voters or involvement in corruption.
Contesting as an independent candidate for two National Assembly (NA) and one Provincial Assembly (PA) seats, Chaudhry Nisar urged supporters to stay vigilant during vote counting and report any violations.
Last March, the former interior minister hinted at returning to politics after a four-year hiatus. He revealed rejecting major positions during this period, stating, “I had never sold my conscience nor anybody could call me corrupt,”.
Chaudhry Nisar, elected as an MPA in 2018, took the oath in May 2021 after abstaining for nearly three years in protest against alleged rigging. His decision aimed to prevent disqualification and ensure continued service to his constituency, PP-10 in the Punjab Assembly.
