Karachi: In an unfortunate incident, many shops have been burnt causing a loss of millions of rupees as fire broke in the mobile market of Sadar Karachi.
According to the fire brigade officials the fire had reached the first floor of the market in which several shops were damaged while some cabins located in the market streets were also burnt.
The fire brigade officials stated that the fire that erupted late at night has been brought under control with the help of more than five fire tenders.
Chairman Electronics Dealers Association Minhaj Gulfam said that fire broke in Shah Jahan Market, Bismillah Market, Mutasil Market and the cause of the fire has not been ascertained as yet.
According to Minhaj Gulfam, the fire spread due to the narrow streets in the market that caused a loss of millions of rupees.
The fire extinguishing officer stated that it is too early to determine the number of shops that have been damaged as shopkeepers are not allowing them to open to shops to extinguish the fire.
