The Punjab government has extended the lockdown till June 15 to curb the spread of coronavirus across the province.

Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab issued a notification to extend the lockdown on Friday.
According to the notification, business hours of the markets will be till 8 pm, all business activities will be completely banned on Saturday and Sunday.
However, medical services, pharmacies, centers. Health, Vaccination Centers, Petrol Pumps, Ovens, Dairy Shops, Food Delivery & E-Commerce Services, Courier & Postal Services, Electricity, Gas, Internet, Cellular & Telecom Companies, Call Centers & Media Houses, and Auto Workshops will be allowed to open. Restaurants will be allowed outdoor dining from May 24; however, indoor sitting will remain prohibited.
The notification further added that outdoor weddings with a capacity of 150 people will be allowed from June 1, however, indoor wedding ceremonies and marquees will be banned across Punjab, all amusement parks in Punjab will remain completely close.
As per the notification, offices in the province will be allowed to work with 50 percent staff, transport will be allowed to run with 50 percent capacity, inter-provincial transport will be completely closed on Saturdays and Sundays and train service will continue with 70 percent passengers.
On the other hand, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has extended the closure of educational institutions till June 6. However, the final decision regarding the educational institutions will be made in the upcoming NCOC meeting on June 3.
It should be noted that Pakistan is facing a third wave of coronavirus with 102 more people died in the country after which the number of deaths from the virus exceeded 20,000 and the total number of COVID19 cases has reached 893,461.
