ECP has appealed to the court to review the decision related to PTI's intra-party elections and electoral symbol.

Peshawar: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Saturday filed a review appeal in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) on the decision regarding the election symbol of Pakistan tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to the details, the Election Commission's lawyer has filed two separate petitions in the Peshawar High Court, one of which is related to PTI's intra-party elections and electoral symbol, in which the ECP has appealed to the court to review the decision.
The other application filed by Election Commission has requested the court to set up a divisional bench for hearing the petition during the holidays.
It is pertinent to note that the Election Commission had annulled the intra-party election of PTI as against the constitution, after which PTI was stripped of its bat symbol. However, Tehreek-e-Insaf challenged the commission's decision in the PHC.
The Peshawar High Court suspended the decision of ECP regarding PTI intra-party elections and electoral symbols and reinstated ‘bat’ for PTI.
It had been stated by the court that the first divisional bench which will be constituted after the court vacation will hear the case further.
