Chicken, eggs’ prices go up amid cold weather conditions
The latest reports suggest that the high demand for eggs have led to a disruption in their availability in the local markets while various retailers in different areas have started selling the eggs at Rs420 per dozen.
Lahore: In local markets, the price of broiler meat has surged by Rs 22 per kilogram, reaching a record high of Rs 602 per kilogram.
Concurrently, the live broiler chicken rate has experienced a noteworthy increase of Rs 15, settling at Rs.415 per kilogram. The cost of farm-fresh eggs has escalated by Rs 2, now standing at Rs 394 per dozen.
The latest reports indicated that the heightened demand for eggs has led to a disruption in their availability in the market. Responding to this scenario, various retailers in different regions are presently selling farm eggs at Rs 420 per dozen, adhering to the official government rates rather than the increased market prices.
