Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder’s wife, Bushra Bibi Monday appealed Islamabad High Court (IHC) to withdraw the Nikah during Iddat case.
Bushra Bibi has filed a request in IHC through Barrister Salman Akram Raja in which she stated that the case is based on malignance and the trial court has also no jurisdiction to hear the case.
She further stated that her ex-husband Khawar Manika filed a complaint under malice for nefarious purposes and a false allegation of marriage in Iddat was made on the basis of forged documents.
According to Bushra’s ex-husband, he divorced her on November 14,2017. Khawar verbally divorced her thrice on 15 April 2017 and she moved to her mother's house in August 2017 and stayed their till marriage to Imran Khan on January 1, 2018.
She has requested in her petition that the order of the Additional Sessions Judge of East on January 11 be pronounced invalid and the case of Nikah during Iddat should be dismissed and the trial court's proceedings should be stayed pending the decision on the petition.
