If govt does not protect criminals, institutions including NAB will give results, believes Prime Minister
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that if the government does not protect the criminals, institutions including NAB will give results.

Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted that during the three-year tenure of the PTI government from 2018 to 2020, NAB recovered Rs 484 billion. In comparison, from 1999 to 2017, the NAB recuperated a total of Rs290 billion.
NAB in last 3 yrs tenure of PTI (2018 - 2020) recovered Rs.484 bn, in contrast to only Rs 290 bn recovered during 1999 - 2017. When govt does not protect the criminals & lets investigation agencies & accountability work without interference, it shows in the results being achieved

The Prime Minister said that good results come when the government does not protect criminals and allows institutions to function without interference, while similar results come when investigative agencies and accountability agencies work without political interference.
In addition, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the daily life of the working class and the working class was more affected by the lockdown, a country that ignores the weaker class can not develop.
While addressing the Ehsas Saving Wallets (ESW) program ceremony earlier in the morning, Imran Khan termed the initiative a very significant program saying financial inclusion of women will help in their mainstreaming and reduce the poverty.
“It is aimed at financial and digital inclusion of women,” said Imran.
He further stated, through Ehsaas Bachat Bank Account, the women will be able to better utilize the cash assistance being given to them under Ehsaas Program.
The Prime Minister was confident that like other programs of Ehsaas, this will also prove to be a success.
Imran Khan pointed out that the Ehsaas Cash Emergency program has been ranked amongst the top four social protection interventions by the World Bank.
“In the wake of Covid-19, cash assistance was delivered to the deserving families in the most transparent and apolitical manner,” he said in the ceremony adding that if timely assistance was not delivered, the situation arising out of the pandemic would have added to the woes of the poor lot.
“No nation can become great until and unless it takes care of the poor people,” he remarked.
On the occasion, Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar briefed the Prime Minister about the Ehsaas Saving Wallets. Under this program, Ehsaas Kafaalat beneficiaries will have the option of either drawing their money or saving money into digital wallets.
As per initiative details, the beneficiaries of the program can open these accounts at agent shops or ATMs.
Initial transactions through these accounts will include balance inquiry, cash in and cash out, transfer funds received from Ehsaas to mobile accounts, mobile top-up, utility bill payments and money transfers.
As per a press release issued on Sunday, the financial and digital inclusion of seven million households is one of the seven overarching goals of the Ehsaas Strategy.
The ESWs initiative is predicated on the understanding that digital and financial inclusion will open avenues for women to take better advantage of opportunities offered under the Ehsaas National Poverty Graduation Initiative.
From now onwards, Ehsaas Kafaalat beneficiaries will have the option of either drawing their money or saving money into digital wallets.
