Punjab govt to release Rs5.5 billion to health department
In this financial year, a supplementary grant of four billion rupees was issued to the health department.
Lahore: The Punjab government has directed to release Rs5.5 billion to the health department.
According to the documents, after the revamping, new beds, ACs, machinery, furniture and medical equipment will be purchased for the hospitals.
The budget of Rs3.5 billion will be given to the health department from the non-development side. The revamping is going on in 21 big hospitals of Punjab.
According to the documents, 15,000 beds, 15,000 stethoscopes, 5,000 drug dispensing, 10,000 instrument trolleys, 4,000 dressing trolleys will be purchased for hospitals across Punjab.
10,000 partitioning screens, 10,000 weight scales, 10,000 LED X-ray illuminators, 5,000 wheelchairs, 5,000 baby warmers and 7,000 baby carts will be purchased.
400 thousand bed sheets, 500 water coolers, 12,000 fans, 5,000 ACs will be purchased. A budget of Rs113 billion has been assigned to the health department by the Punjab government from the development side.
