ECP fines election candidates for violating code of conduct
The fines have been imposed on the candidates for putting up banners and pena-flexes of illegal size, added ECP.
Faisalabad: The candidates contesting in tomorrow’s elections have been fined for violating the code of conduct of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Faisalabad.
According to the Election Commission, 22 candidates have been fined a total of Rs1,80,000. Pakistna Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates Khalid Pervaiz Gul and Qasim Farooq have been fined and Jafar Ali was issued a warning.
The Election Commission stated that fines have been imposed on independent candidates Akram Chaudhry, Changaiz Khan Kakar, Ismail Sela and Ali Sarfraz, while warnings have been issued to five candidates and notices have been issued to three.
