Former senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has termed the shutdown of mobile phone service as the beginning of fraud.


Lahore: The monitoring system of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the complaints cell have also been affected due to the shutdown of mobile phone services across the country today (Thursday).
According to the details, the polling process for the general elections is going on across the country, which will continue uninterrupted from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
There have also been complaints of delayed start of polling at some places in different parts of the country, while following the request of the Ministry of Interior, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has temporarily suspended the launch of mobile phones across the country, due to which polling agents and polling staff are facing difficulties.
Due to suspension of mobile phone service, SMS service 8300 for public to get polling information has also been affected.
