Tank: An officer was martyred in a terrorist attack on a security forces vehicle in Kot Azam area of Tank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to security officials, the vehicle of forces was providing security on election duty when it was attacked by terrorists.

Yesterday, a day before the general elections, a total of 28 people were killed as a result of explosions outside election offices in two districts of Balochistan.
The first blast took place in Khanuzai area of Pashin district in which 16 people were killed while the second blast took place outside the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam office in Qila Saifullah in which 12 people were killed.
On the other hand, three people were killed in a hand grenade explosion at Haji Limo Goth in Gulshan Iqbal area in Karachi.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East said that according to initial information, the accused was going out with a grenade that exploded in his hand.
Notably, in view of the incidents of terrorism, a total of 500,000 security personnel have been deployed for security throughout the country during the general elections.
For security during the elections, police has been deployed at the first level, paramilitary forces at the second level, and Pakistan Army as a quick response force at the last and third level.
