IG Punjab assures to make polling process transparent
On 5,577 sensitive polling stations more police officer are appointed to see the security arrangements.
Lahore: Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police, Usman Anwar stated that the police force is on high alert amid to the general elections today (Thursday). No one can create any hurdle in the electoral process due to the high security.
IG said that police is here to make the electoral procedure peaceful and transparent. We have an eye on the enemy of peace. We will provide fool proof security to voters and the polling staff.
Usman further instructed to all of the police officers to supervise the arrangements by themselves. 1,30000 police officers are on duty today amid election’s security. On 5,577 sensitive polling stations more police officer are appointed to see the security arrangements.
