PML-N ready to sit in opposition if independents show majority
League president added that if PTI shows majority, ‘We will sit in the opposition with great enthusiasm'.
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif is holding a press conference on Tuesday.
While addressing a press conference in Lahore, Shehbaz Sharif said that many allegations of rigging and level playing field have been made against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after the general elections.
The former Prime Minister stated: “We were defeated in 2018 through fake elections but we did not do anything, now the election results have come, (N) League is the number one political party, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is the second political party. Now the next step will take its course and the whole process will now take place in the Parliament”.
League president added that if PTI shows majority, ‘We will sit in the opposition with great enthusiasm, if they cannot form the government, then other parties will take a decision through mutual consultation’.
