Islamabad: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Friday has opened walk-in vaccination for teachers against the deadly virus without prior registration.

In a statement on twitter, NCOC shared that to ensure safe environment for education and conduct of exams, walk-in vaccination for teachers above 18 years of age is opened.
The teachers can walk into to any vaccination center with their CNIC and a stamped letter from the head of their institution or teachers’ ID card to get themselves vaccinated.

Government has also allowed walk-vaccination of 30 above from tomorrow.
Earlier on May 20, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood had announced that teachers will be vaccinated against Covid-19 on a priority basis.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 2,482 cases of coronavirus were reported while 67 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 20,607.
The total number of confirmed cases reached 913,784.
As many as 834,566 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,132 critical cases.
