Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former provincial minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid asked he courts to safeguard the people's mandate for the sake of the country.
Yasmin Rashid made this request to the courts while talking to the reporters while attending the Anti-Terrorism Court proceedings related to the May 9 cases on Monday.
When asked about the possibility of becoming the opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, she stated that her actions would align with the directives of the party.
Expressing her lack of confidence in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Yasmin Rashid highlighted the nation's reliance on the judiciary for justice. Despite concerns and fears, the people of Pakistan chose to support PTI at the ballot box, but their trust has been betrayed, she remarked.
In her statement, the PTI leader emphasized the public's anticipation of judicial intervention to rectify the situation. She concluded by urging the judiciary to take appropriate action to restore faith in the democratic process.
