DC Islamabad decides to challenge imprisonment in contempt of court case

Islamabad: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon and others have decided to challenge the single bench of court's verdict against him in contempt of court case.
In this matter, DC Islamabad and senior sub police operations Jameel Zafar have done the bio metric in Islamabad High Court (IHC) to file the intra-court appeal aginst the verdict.
The court has sentenced Irfan Nawaz Memon for six months in prison and 1,00000Rs fine in contempt of court case.
According to the details, justice Babar Sattar heard this case in IHC. The court has given this verdict by finding Irfan Nawaz as guilty in committing contempt of court.
IHC has directed this verdict’s copy regarding Irfan Nawaz case to prime minister of Pakistan. The court also gave time for appeal to Irfan Nawaz and canceled the punishment for one month.
Justice stated that Irfan filed the appeal against this verdict of court in one month if his appeal would not file within one month then send him to jail.
It should be noted that this court of contempt case was filed against Irfan Nawaz when he ordered Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Shehreyar Afridi.
