Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has acceded Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) demand regarding constitutional amendment in the article of 140.
According to the details, PML-N’s leader Ahsan Iqbal signed this agreement whereas from MQM’s side Mustafa Kamal signed on the agreement papers.
The provincial funds will be given from now on to the district governments under the amended constitution’s article 140. After this agreement MQM decided to vote for the speaker and deputy speaker in favor of PML-N.
It should be noted that earlier MQM declined to be part of voting process amid not finalizing their demands in the constitution by the PML-N.
