The ceremony of presenting the guard of honor to the newly elected president was held at the President's House.

It is pertinent to note that Asif Ali Zardari was sworn in as the President of Pakistan yesterday. Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa administered the oath of office to Asif Ali Zardari in the swearing-in ceremony held in the President's House.
Asif Ali Zardari was elected as the 14th President of the country on Saturday. He, the nominated presidential candidate of the ruling alliance, won by getting 411 votes. His opponent Mahmood Khan Achakzai of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) scored 111 votes.
