Barrister Gohar stated that the Senate elections are being held, so he has requested to allow consultation with Imran Khan along with the documents.


Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan filed an application in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to meet former PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Adiala Jail.
He said in the petition that there are great expectations from the judiciary for justice.
The Home Secretary, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Superintendent Adiala Jail were made parties in the application filed by Barrister Gohar.
The position adopted in the petition was that Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Secretary General Umar Ayub and Secretary Shibli Faraz should be allowed to meet Imran Khan in Adiala Jail. The Senate election, various committees of the National Assembly and party matters have to be consulted.
It was further stated in the petition that the petitioner had requested several times to meet the Superintendent of Adiala Jail but was not allowed. The court should direct Superintendent to allow the meeting.

Talking to the media after filing the petition in the IHC, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that there were some documents of General Elections which were taken to meet the founder PTI Imran Khan.
Barrister Gohar stated that the Senate elections are being held, so he has requested to allow consultation with Imran Khan along with the documents. It is the judiciary, we have high expectations from, we always come and hope that we also will get justice.
He added said that decisions have been made in hassle whether it is the Supreme Court, the High Court or the trial court. The unconstitutional and illegal manner in which the trial has been conducted, it is the responsibility of the judiciary to take notice. We hope that we will also get justice from the judiciary.
