The Punjab chief minister says strict action will be taken against the law breakers.

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that creating chaos in the country in the guise of politics would not be tolerated.
“Strict action will be taken against the law breakers,” said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz while talking to the reporters in Lahore on Monday.
The direction came a day after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers took out rallies and staged protest against alleged rigging in the recently held general elections. PTI senior leader Salman Akram Raja and Sardar Latif Khan Khosa were detained by the police for holding protests on the call of the party founder. The footages showing the police manhandling with the protesters, particularly the children during protest went viral on the social media.
Maryam Nawaz categorically warned those whom she thought law-breakers that strict action would be taken against them.
“We’ve launched crackdown across Punjab,” said CM Maryam, making it clear that nobody would be spared.
The CM admitted that there are serious challenges in the way of the government and they would take more time for redressal.
Talking about relief during the holy month of Ramadan, Maryam Nawaz said that big relief is given to the masses in Ramadan across the world but the prices of the basic commodities in Pakistan were sky rocketing.
“The government is taking reasonable measures to control the prices,” said Maryam Nawaz, adding that the unlawful behavior would not be accepted.
She also said that the teams were working under supervision of chief secretary. She said she had sought reports of all districts and she would decide transfer and posting of the officers.
“We will ensure basic rights to the masses,” said the Punjab chief minister.
She also mentioned a video in which a woman was seen attacking the police van to free some people.
The CM questioned the such behavior, saying that if anyone would violate the laws in the name of democracy she would not let it go and would take strict action.
