The Attorney General and Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been summoned to the court today.


Peshawar: The hearing of the case against Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) not getting reserved seats will be held today in Peshawar High Court (PHC).
According to the details, a five-member larger bench of the PHC will hear the petition of Sunni Ittehad Council against not getting reserved seats.
The Attorney General and Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been summoned to the court today.
On the previous hearing, the court raised six questions in the case related to reserved seats.
PHC prevents oath on reserved seats
It is pertinent to noted that earlier on March 7, the PHC issued a written order in the case related to SIC reserved seats. According to the order, the court extended the injunction related to reserved seats till March 13.
The court also issued notices to all the absent parties. While the Attorney General was also ordered to appear at the next hearing.
The PHC issued an injunction on the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the allotment of reserved seats and ordered the Speaker National Assembly not to take oath of the members until the next day, along with a five-member larger bench was formed to hear the case.
