Imran Khan expresses deep-seated concerns regarding the country's trajectory and the pervasive issue of corruption.

Rawalpindi: Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, issued a stark warning asserting the accuracy of all his past predictions.
He stated that Pakistan is on the brink of a crisis akin to Sri Lanka's situation, with inflation poised to surge and citizens likely to take to the streets in protest.
Speaking informally with journalists at Adiala Jail on Wednesday, Khan expressed deep-seated concerns regarding the country's trajectory and the pervasive issue of corruption. He lamented that PTI was systematically sidelined in elections, despite voters expressing dissatisfaction at the polls. Khan noted a palpable disillusionment among the populace, with their mandate effectively usurped.
Khan emphasized that his earlier prognostications have all materialized, underscoring the impending socioeconomic challenges facing Pakistan. He stressed the continuation of peaceful protests against electoral malpractice and vowed to pursue legal recourse, including recourse to the Supreme Court, against electoral fraud.
Regarding the Senate elections, Khan cautioned about the potential misuse of funds, a recurring issue that has marred the electoral process. He pointed out the lack of accountability, citing the example of Gilani's son's involvement in the previous Senate elections without facing consequences.
In a scathing critique, Khan decried the pervasive culture of falsehoods in Pakistan, alleging widespread electoral rigging and erosion of institutional integrity. He dismissed speculations about backroom deals, asserting that no such arrangements were being entertained, with even consultations with legal advisors suspended.
