Islamabad: Federal Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan announced the construction of motorway leading to Gilgit and Skardu.
Addressing the 14th passing out ceremony of the Motorway Police Training College in Sheikhupura, he said that the motorway from Sukkur and Hyderabad to Karachi will also be completed soon, which will prove to be a game changer for the development of the country.
Abdul Aleem, the chief guest of the event, added in his address that the targets have been set, the motorway will bear its own burden. A motorway will be built from Mansehra to Babusar Top, Gilgit and Skardu.
Speaking on the occasion, Inspector General (IG) Motorway Police Salman Chaudhry stated that despite lack of resources, Motorway Police is doing excellent work.
Commandant Training College Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Hashmat Kamal said that along with professional training, special attention is paid to personality development.
In the passing out ceremony of 289 police officers including 100 personnel of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), one month extra salary was announced for the passing out batch and prizes were also distributed to those who performed well during the training.
