The sources say that the chairman's dissatisfaction was not about individual players but rather about the selection committee's overall process

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stopped announcement of the national squad for the upcoming Twenty20 International World Cup, which would be held next month in the United States and the West Indies, the sources familiar with the sources said on Friday.
The sources said that the PCB chairman was unhappy with the selection committee's procedures.
Initially, it was reported that the chairman had concerns about including two specific players in the 15-man squad, though the players' identities were not disclosed.
Later, it was clarified that the chairman's dissatisfaction was not about individual players but rather about the selection committee's overall process. He was particularly frustrated with the irregular scheduling of the committee meetings and the lack of communication, as the minutes from these meetings were not shared with him.
Due to these issues, the announcement of the squad is now expected to occur at 7 PM.
It may be mentioned here that May 25 is the final deadline for submitting the team roster to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
