Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directs the ministers and officials of health department to reach Pattoki immediately and has sought report from them


Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took notice of the deaths of children due to Measles in Pattoki area on Wednesday.
“Innocent lives have been lost due to the negligence and incompetence of the health department,” said the Punjab CM while coming down hard upon the health authorities.
The Chief Minister also directed the ministers and officials of health department to reach Pattoki immediately.
CM Maryam said, “Responsibility will be fixed and those who committed negligence will be severely punished,”.
She also sought an immediate report from Secretary Health in the matter.
The Punjab chief minister said that the cases of all epidemic diseases, including measles, should be monitored on a daily basis.
She directed to ensure vaccination of diseases including measles in hospitals.
The CM directed to provide best treatment facilities to the children suffering from measles. She said that no negligence in the treatment of affected children will be tolerated.
