The court adjourned the hearing of the cases till June 26


Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad Tuesday adjourned the hearing till June 26 on the bail application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in a case.
Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majuka heard the case of pre-arrest bail application in six cases filed against Imran Khan on vandalism and protest. The PTI founder's lawyers Usman Gul and Khalid Yusuf Chaudhary appeared before the court.
The lawyers said that the senior lawyer Salman Safdar is in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), the court should adjourn the hearing until he comes. According to the Shahzeb case, the IHC decided that bail cannot be confirmed before arrest without his presence.
On this, Judge Afzal Majoka remarked that according to the judgment I read, the court can waive the attendance and hear the bail and I have done so, however, the lawyer said that the Supreme Court has made it clear in its judgment that every attendance of the accused is mandatory. Rhe court also has to observe that the grade 17 officer has been violating the court orders for six months.
On this, lawyer Khalid Yusuf Chaudhary stated that the court should issue attendance orders of Imran Khan through video link.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case.
On the resumption of the hearing after the break, PTI's lawyer Sardar Masroof requested to adjourn the pre-arrest bail hearing in six cases of Imran Khan and one of Bushra Bibi.
Sardar Masroof said that senior lawyer Salman Safdar has to give arguments on the bail application, however, he will go to Adiala Jail from IHC today. The hearing of the 190 million pounds case is scheduled in Adiala Jail, therefore, the court should set the hearing after eid.
Judge Afzal Majuka said tha, he will order the attendance of founder PTI in this case, writing that Imran Khan's attendance must be ensured through video link.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till June 26.
