ANF officials were chasing a suspected vehicle

Rawalpindi: Three people including two officials were killed after some drug smugglers opened fire on an Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) vehicle at Tarkai Toll Plaza near Jhelum on Wednesday.
According to an ANF spokesperson, their team, who was on duty, signalled a suspicious vehicle to stop at Tarkai Toll Plaza, but instead, the vehicle occupants sped away.
The spokesman further said that during the pursuit, the accused opened fire on the ANF team, as a result of which two ANF personnel and a civilian were killed.
Head Constable Gulzar and Lance Naik Mazhar embraced martyrdom.
