Karachi: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said new tsunami of inflation is about to hit the country.

In a statement, Bilawal Bhutto said that government has imposed taxes on every item and a budget prepared by International Monetary Fund (IMF) employees was presented without any consideration.
“Every page of ‘selected budget’ reflects economic massacre of people. Instead of direct taxes, this government has imposed indirect taxes on people on commodities of essential use. An increase of Rs. 20 per liter on petrol and Rs. 7 per kg on sugar will be thwarted,” he said adding that 17 per cent sales tax will be levied on crude oil, whereas the prices of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), petrol and gas prices will go up.
Bilawal Bhutto further said that due to coronavirus pandemic people started shopping online but now the PM has imposed sales tax over it as well.
Isn't it a tragedy that Pakistanis away from home are sending more remittances to unemployed Pakistanis than domestic exports,” he said.
