On this occasion, Shabana Mehmood said that this responsibility is both a privilege and a burden. This responsibility will open doors for the coming generations. ‘I am the first Lord Chancellor who can speak Urdu’.
Shabana pledged to defend the international rule of law and uphold human rights, saying that the judiciary should make decisions without political pressure and undue influence.
