May 9 case: Fawad, others' interim bail extended till Aug 7
Judge said if investigation is not completed at next hearing, he will decide according to law
Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Lahore Saturday extended the interim bails of former Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Hafiz Farhat Abbas, and others till August 7 in the case of arson outside Rahat Bakery in the provincial capital on May 9 and gave last chance to the investigating officer to submit records.
Judge Khalid Arshad of the Special ATC of Lahore held a hearing on the interim bail of former Federal Minister Fawad, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hafiz Farhat and others in the case of arson outside Rahat Bakery on May 9.
During the hearing, all the accused appeared in the court and completed their attendance. The investigating officer told the court that he could not investigate the case due to the Muharram duty. The court should give time to complete the investigation.
Judge Khalid Arshad said that if the investigation is not completed at the next hearing, he will decide according to the law.
The court adjourned the interim bail of all the accused till August 7.
