There is a possibility of heavy rains in most districts of Punjab including Lahore in the next 24 hours


Lahore: The intensity of heat has been disrupted and the weather has become pleasant due to rain in different areas of Lahore.
According to the details, it rained in the areas of Lakshmi Chowk, Abbott Road, Shimla Pahari, Davis Road, Chuburji, Sanda, Islampura, Shamnagar Road, Ferozepur Road, Ichhra, and Jail Road.
Weather forecasters stated that there is a possibility of heavy rains in most districts of Punjab including Lahore in the next 24 hours.
Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) spokesperson stated that during the last 24 hours, 107 mm of rain was recorded in Rawalpindi, 25 in Lahore, 21 in Faisalabad, and 11 mm in Sahiwal. This spell of rain may continue till August 12.
According to PDMA, the water level in rivers, dams, and canals is continuously increasing due to monsoon rains. The water level in Mangla Dam has reached 65 percent and in Tarbela 90 percent. An increase has also been recorded in Indian dams.
Director General (DG) PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia said that the administration of big cities remained on high alert in view of the threat of urban flooding.
