Speaking on the occasion, Ramesh Singh Arora highlighted the importance of the session, noting that the Chief Minister had emphasized that minorities are "the crown of our heads," leading to the decision to hold this special assembly session.

The assembly also passed resolutions paying tribute to national hero Arshad Nadeem and condemning Israeli attacks on Gaza, including the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh. Opposition leader Malik Ahmed Khan Bhachar presented a resolution condemning the Israeli attacks on Gaza and the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, which was also passed by the assembly.

Additionally, government member Samiullah Khan introduced a resolution to honor Arshad Nadeem, who has brought international recognition to Pakistan. Samiullah Khan urged that Nadeem be officially declared a national hero for his achievements.

During the session, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman presented the Enforcement and Regulation Punjab Bill 2024.
