Ji Chief says political parties rely on the establishment to come into power

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has made it clear that his party will not be part of any political alliance.
Speaking at a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami’s officials in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman criticized political parties, stating that democracy does not exist within these parties themselves. He added that political parties rely on the establishment to come into power.
According to him, there is confusion within opposition parties, and Jamaat-e-Islami cannot align itself with such confused entities.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman announced a nationwide peaceful and historic shutter-down strike on August 28. He stressed that in Karachi, not a single shop should remain open, even in the streets, but clarified that shops should not be forcibly closed as had been done in the past.
He urged shopkeepers and the public to willingly participate in this strike, which is aimed at defending the rights of the people and traders.
He also mentioned that the Federal Minister of Interior had contacted them today regarding the implementation of the agreement reached with the government about reducing electricity bills. He assured that Jamaat-e-Islami, along with the public, will hold the government accountable to ensure the agreement is upheld.
