UK Fake News Case: Accused physical remand extended for four days

Lahore: The local court of Lahore Thursday extended the physical remand of Farhan Asif, the accused who announced fake news that caused riots in the United Kingdom.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on completion of the one-day physical remand, presented the accused Farhan in the court of District Kachhari under tight security, where the Agency ​​requested further physical remand of the accused.

The court accepted the request of FIA and extended the physical remand of the accused and handed him over to FIA for four days.

It is pertinent to note that two days ago, the police arrested Farhan from Lahore on the charge of giving fake news that caused riots in Britain.

According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore, Farhan Asif works for a news platform in Pakistan, and during interrogation of the accused, he was found involved in giving fake news.
