Cyclone 'Asna' moves away from Karachi, heavy downpours predicted
Intermittent heavy rain has been predicted in the city today
Karachi: Cyclone 'Asna' moved further away from the Sindh coastline including Karachi.
According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone has moved further away from the Sindh coastline and the storm is in the north-east of the Arabian Sea, while the storm is moving towards the west, which is 230 km from the south-west of Karachi.
The meteorological department stated that cyclone is approaching the coast of Balochistan and the storm is 180 km away from Ormara and 300 km away from Gwadar.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the storm moving towards the coast of Balochistan will move towards Oman, while there is no possibility of the storm hitting any coast and it is likely to weaken and end up in the sea.
On the other hand, the air pressure has intensified and has become a depression.
According to the Meteorological Department, this system will affect India's Gujarat and Rajasthan, while this system may affect East Sindh in the next three to four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, it would be premature to predict its impact on the coastal belt of Sindh including Karachi.
On the other hand, it rained early in the morning in different areas of Karachi. Some light and heavy rain, including Nazimabad, Sadar, Kharadar, Defence, Korangi, Qayyumabad, Nursery, PECHS, and Tariq Road.
Intermittent heavy rain has been predicted in the city today.
