Petition requested that founder PTI Imran Khan should be prevented from being handed over to military custody

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan approached the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday against the possible military custody for the military court trial.
A petition was filed in the IHC by lawyer Uzair Karamat Bhandari, in which the Law Secretary, the Interior Secretary, and the Federation have been made parties.
Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, IG Punjab, Director General (DG) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and IG Jails are parties to the petition.
The petition requested that founder PTI Imran Khan should be prevented from being handed over to military custody, and ensure that the former prime minister remains in civilian courts and under civilian custody.
