Peshawar police detained Punjab CTD official for alleged kidnapping

Peshawar: A suspected official from Punjab's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has been booked for allegedly attempting to kidnap a local contractor in Peshawar.
The incident unfolded in the jurisdiction of Town Police Station, where the CTD official reportedly tried to abduct the contractor without coordinating with local law enforcement.
According to reports, the contractor was confronted by the official, who attempted to forcibly take him away. The situation intensified when the contractor's colleagues intervened, apprehending the official and turning him over to the local police.
Upon the official’s detention, multiple identification cards from various organizations were found in his possession.
A case has been registered against the alleged CTD official from Punjab, and an investigation is underway to uncover the motive behind the attempted abduction and to scrutinize the official's actions.
Authorities are also investigating whether the official was acting on his own or following orders.
