CTD Punjab arrest 33 terrorists in IBOs

Lahore: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 33 terrorists during Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) in different cities of Punjab.
According to CTD spokesman, 475 IBOs were conducted in various cities of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Nankana Sahib, Hafizabad, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bhakkar etc in view of terrorism concerns.
The officials said that a terrorist of the banned organisation was arrested from Lahore. The arrested terrorists were identified as Khabib Ahmed, Saifullah, Zaheer Ahmed, Ahmed, Hafiz Matloob, and Hamza Javed etc.
Explosives, explosive vests, two hand grenades, 26 detonators, safety fuse wire 73 feet, bullets, arms, mobile phones and cash were recovered from the arrested terrorists.
CTD officials stated that the terrorists wanted to spread fear and panic among the people by operating at different places. 1,431 suspects were arrested during 3,674 combing operations this week, and 186,331 people were questioned in combing operations.
According to officials, CTD is committed to rooting out the scourge of terrorism, pursuing the goal of a safe Punjab.
