Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh appointed next IAF Chief
He will take charge as the IAF Chief on September 30
The Indian government has appointed Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh as the next Chief of the Air Force.
According to Indian media, Air Marshal Amar Preet is currently serving as the Vice Chief of Air Staff in the Indian Air Force (IAF) and will be the new chief.
According to the Indian media, Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh will take charge as the IAF Chief on September 30. On the same day, the current Chief of the IAF, Vivek Ram Chaudhry, will retire after completing his tenure.
The Indian media reported that Air Marshal Amar will be the 47th Chief of the Air Force. He was appointed as Vice Air Chief from February 1, 2023.
Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh was commissioned in the Air Force in 1984. He has also served in other important positions in the IAF including Senior Air Staff Officer in the Eastern Air Command.
