3,700 schools have been closed for many years due to unavailability of teachers
Quetta: Balochistan government has decided to open 3,700 schools which have been closed for years in the province.
According to the Department of Education, Balochistan, about 3,700 schools have been closed for many years due to the unavailability of teachers in various districts of the province.
According to the Education Department, 254 schools are in Pishin while 251 schools are in Khuzdar, and 152 are in Quetta.
Officials stated that the education department of Balochistan will recruit teachers on contract to activate these closed schools and till October 11, the education department has invited applications from candidates for teaching posts in various schools.
According to officials of the education department, a committee will recruit teachers under the supervision of deputy commissioners in each district.
On the other hand, the provincial government stated that they have succeeded in opening 40 closed schools in Pishin and Awaran.
