It is pertinent to note that on October 12, the Meteorological Department said that the low pressure in the South-Eastern Arabian Sea intensified, but currently, there is no possibility of affecting any coastal area of Pakistan.
On October 8, the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) warned that a low pressure was forming in the Arabian Sea which may turn into a storm.
The NEOC had issued an early warning and expressed apprehension that this system could affect the coastline of Pakistan in the third week of October.
According to the NEOC, a low-pressure area forming over the Arabian Sea is currently present near Lakshadweep Valley and is likely to move northwestward.
In the initial forecast, considering the intensity and movement of the low pressure, it was possible that this system may affect the Pakistani coastline in the third week of October.
