Omar Abdullah to take oath as CM of Occupied Kashmir today

Srinagar: Omar Abdullah will take oath as the Chief Minister of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.

In the recent elections of the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, the National Conference and the Congress won the majority. The alliance of the National Conference won 53 seats in the 90-member Assembly of Occupied Kashmir.
Omar Abdullah will assume the post of Chief Minister of Occupied Kashmir for the second time. Previously, he was the Chief Minister from 2009 to 2014 under the Congress alliance.
It is pertinent to note that on August 5, 2019, the Modi government abolished the special status of Occupied Kashmir and declared it a Union Territory.
