33,953 cases of malaria were reported from Mirpurkhas, 20,858 from Shaheed Benazirabad, and 17,777 from Sukkur


Karachi: The cases of dengue, chikungunya and malaria have increased again in different parts of the country.
According to media reports, dengue, chikungunya and other epidemics including malaria are increasing in the big and small cities of the country.
Health department officials said that there has been an extraordinary increase in dengue and chikungunya cases in the past few weeks and hospitals are overflowing with patients.
According to the officials of the health department, the cases of malaria are continuously increasing throughout the province and 249,151 cases of malaria have been reported in Sindh from January to October.
According to the spokesman of the health department, 1,976 cases of malaria were reported from Karachi, 1,19,293 from the Hyderabad division and 55,294 cases were reported from Larkana.
Officials stated that 33,953 cases of malaria were reported from Mirpurkhas, 20,858 from Shaheed Benazirabad, and 17,777 cases of malaria were reported from Sukkur.
Health experts say the main reasons for the spread of the disease include mosquito breeding due to poor drainage systems and lack of preventive measures.
